COLLINSVILLE, Ill. - One teenager faces felony charges in connection with a deadly shooting earlier this week. Prosecutors have charged Isaiah Jenkins, 16, with two counts of first-degree murder, unlawful possession of a stolen firearm and aggravated unlawful use of a weapon. His bond is set at $5 million in the case, per Illinois court records. Police say Vaeden Hawkes, 19, died from his injuries. Following the gunfire, witnesses reported seeing four people running from the scene and were able to provide officers with descriptions. JOINT BASE ELMENDORF-RICHARDSON, Alaska (AP) — Two U.S. Army helicopters collided in flight Thursday in Alaska while returning from a training mission, killing three soldiers and injuring a fourth, the Army said.Two of the soldiers died at the crash site near Healy, Alaska, and a third died on the way to a hospital in Fairbanks. A fourth soldier was being treated at a hospital for injuries, the Army said in a statement Thursday. Additional information was not immediately available Friday.The names of those killed were being withheld until relatives could be notified, the Army said. The Army said the cause of the crash was under investigation and that more details would be released when they become available. A fight at Valencia High School sent two students to the hospital and brought a large police presence to the campus on Friday morning. Deputies with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department at the Santa Clarita Station responded to the school around 10:30 a.m. for a call regarding a fight between students. According to a statement from the William S. Hart Union High School District, two students were injured during the altercation. Parents upset over fights breaking out at Riverside schools "It is with sadness that we inform our community of a situation that occurred on the Valencia High School campus today where two students were involved in an altercation and injured," the statement said. "During the altercation one student was stabbed. A nonprofit named Exceptional Minds is helping students with autism channel their creativity into a Hollywood career. 1 Hospitalized after Traffic Crash at CorneliaFRESNO, CA (April 28, 2023) – Thursday morning, police pursuit on Highway 180 and Cornelia left one person hurt.The robbery first happened at around 3:00 a.m. at a Northwest Fresno Chevron.According to police, the suspects were fleeing from the scene and police were chasing them.Consequently, the suspects drove through the intersection on Highway 180 at Cornelia when a vehicle driven by a woman struck the side of their vehicle and ended up in the fields.Furthermore, the female driver suffered major injuries and was transported to Community Regional Medical Center.Meanwhile, the suspects, identified as two teenagers, tried to flee the scene but were caught by the officers.Both of them were arrested and taken into custody.
